Customer Service Policy and Information

Holidays

We observe New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas. If these particular holidays fall on a weekday, service/pickup will be delayed one business day. In accordance with these holidays, we will update the week prior, via voice message and website.

Acceptable Containers

All waste & recycling must be in Superior Waste containers – or approved personal bear cans.

Waste Collection

We only take household waste. For BULK ITEMS, please call our office for pricing and scheduling.
We will NOT collect:
hazardous wastes, ashes, dirt, construction debris, yard debris or animal carcasses, hazardous materials, including but not limited to gas, oil, paint, tires, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, and asbestos. Animal waste must be placed in a plastic bag and tied securely.

Collection Times

We ask that all containers be placed curbside the night prior to your scheduled service day to ensure you don’t miss the truck for collection and to avoid a return charge of $50. Collection times may change. Superior Waste reserves the right to change your collection day to provide the most effective and efficient level of service in your area.

Rate Adjustments

We reserve the right to increase fees in order to adjust to the economical increases in consumer prices, disposal fees, fuel, materials and operational costs or any cost increase associated with meeting our service expectation.

Inclement Weather

We reserve the right to cancel collection service in areas which we deem the roads unsafe. Please remember though your car may make it through, we will not attempt to drive a large truck on unsafe roadways.

Mixed Paper Recycling

Acceptable Paper

Newspaper, Magazine/Catalogs, Computer/Copy/Fax paper, Writing/Ledger Paper, Phonebooks, Brown Bags, Cereal/Tissue Boxes, Junk mail, Wrapping paper, Books, Shredded paper.

Unacceptable Paper

Wax or Plastic-coated paper, Pizza Boxes, Food-contaminated Paper, Wet paper, paper streamers/tissue paper, tissues/napkins/paper towels.

Recycling Guidelines

Acceptable Recyclable Items

Juice Boxes, Milk Cartons, Aluminum Cans, Glass Bottles (Green, Clear, Brown), Tin & Bi-Metallic Containers, Aseptic Milk/Juice Cartons, Aluminum Foil, Plastic Containers with Recycling Symbol 1-7, & Frozen Food Containers.

Unacceptable Recyclable Items

NO Trash, NO Diapers, NO Styrofoam, NO Plastic Bags, NO Caps or Lids, NO Food, NO Compost, NO Yard Waste, NO Building Materials.
